The Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein Monoclonal Antibody (CAB3992) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, developed using rabbit monoclonal technology, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting MOG in human samples.MOG is essential for maintaining the structure and function of myelin, the protective sheath surrounding nerve fibers. Dysregulation of MOG has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis. By targeting MOG, researchers can gain valuable insights into the pathophysiology of these conditions and potentially identify novel therapeutic approaches.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The product of this gene is a membrane protein expressed on the oligodendrocyte cell surface and the outermost surface of myelin sheaths. Due to this localization, it is a primary target antigen involved in immune-mediated demyelination. This protein may be involved in completion and maintenance of the myelin sheath and in cell-cell communication. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
