The PPBP Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24514) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the PPBP protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology and cancer research.PPBP, also known as Platelet Basic Protein, plays a crucial role in mediating the inflammatory response and is associated with various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a platelet-derived growth factor that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This growth factor is a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophils. It has been shown to stimulate various cellular processes including DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and synthesis of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also stimulates the formation and secretion of plasminogen activator by synovial cells. The protein also is an antimicrobial protein with bactericidal and antifungal activity.
