The QDPR Antibody (CAB5733) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting QDPR protein in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.QDPR is involved in the maintenance of BH4 levels, which are necessary for the synthesis of neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. Dysregulation of QDPR activity has been linked to various neurological disorders, including Parkinson's disease and depression.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes the enzyme dihydropteridine reductase, which catalyzes the NADH-mediated reduction of quinonoid dihydrobiopterin. This enzyme is an essential component of the pterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylating systems. Mutations in this gene resulting in QDPR deficiency include aberrant splicing, amino acid substitutions, insertions, or premature terminations. Dihydropteridine reductase deficiency presents as atypical phenylketonuria due to insufficient production of biopterin, a cofactor for phenylalanine hydroxylase.
