I-TAC, also known as CXCL1/Lymphotactin1/I-TAC, is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. It is highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, pancreas and liver, with moderate levels in thymus, spleen and lung and low expression levels were in small intestine, placenta and prostate. The I-TAC chemokine elicits its effects on its target cells by interacting with the cell surface chemokine receptor CXCR3, with a higher affinity than do the other ligands for this receptor, CXCL9 and CXCL1/Lymphotactin0. I-TAC is chemotactic for activated T cells. The CXCL1/Lymphotactin1/I-TAC gene is located on human chromosome 4 along with many other members of the CXC chemokine family.
Bio-activity: | Not validated for activity |
Formulation: | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% Trehalose and 5% Mannitol. |
Reconstitution: | It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis. |
Storage: | Generally, lyophilized proteins are stable for up to 12 months when stored at -20 to -80℃. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-8℃ for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20℃ for 3 months. |
Shipping: | This product is provided as lyophilized powder which is shipped with ice packs. |
