The SLC16A7 Antibody (CAB12386) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the SLC16A7 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an excellent choice for studies in areas such as metabolism, cancer biology, and drug delivery mechanisms.SLC16A7, also known as monocarboxylate transporter 2 (MCT2), plays a crucial role in the transportation of monocarboxylates such as lactate, pyruvate, and ketone bodies across cell membranes.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Rat samples.

This gene is a member of the monocarboxylate transporter family. Members in this family transport metabolites, such as lactate, pyruvate, and ketone bodies. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the proton-linked transport of monocarboxylates and has the highest affinity for pyruvate. This protein has been reported to be more highly expressed in prostate and colorectal cancer specimens when compared to control specimens. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
