The SSBP4 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC017149) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SSBP4, a crucial protein involved in DNA replication and repair processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the SSBP4 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of SSBP4 in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for investigations in molecular biology, genetics, and cancer research.
SSBP4, also known as single-strand DNA-binding protein 4, is essential for maintaining genome stability and ensuring accurate DNA synthesis. Its role in DNA damage response pathways and replication machinery makes it a key player in cellular processes that are often dysregulated in cancer and genetic disorders. By studying the function of SSBP4, researchers can uncover new insights into diseases related to DNA damage and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for intervention.

Background:
SSBP4 (single stranded DNA binding protein 4) is a 385 amino acid, nuclear protein that contains one LisH domain and multiple phosphorylated amino acid, residues. The gene encoding SSBP4 maps to human chromosome 19, which consists of over 63 million bases, houses approximately 1,400 genes and is recognized for having the greatest gene density of the human chromosomes. It is the genetic home for a number of immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily members, including the killer cell and leukocyte Ig-like receptors, a number of ICAMs, the CEACAM and PSG family and Fc receptors (FcRs).
