The Vinculin Antibody (CAB14193) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody is generated in rabbits and has been validated for use in Western blot applications, demonstrating high reactivity with human samples.VCL, also known as vinculin, plays a crucial role in maintaining cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, making it a key player in processes such as cell motility and tissue development. By specifically binding to the VCL protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology and cancer research.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

Vinculin is a cytoskeletal protein associated with cell-cell and cell-matrix junctions, where it is thought to function as one of several interacting proteins involved in anchoring F-actin to the membrane. Defects in VCL are the cause of cardiomyopathy dilated type 1W. Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disorder characterized by ventricular dilation and impaired systolic function, resulting in congestive heart failure and arrhythmia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene, but the biological validity of some variants has not been determined.
