The VHL Antibody (CAB16287) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the VHL protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze VHL expression in various cell types, making it an essential resource for studies in cancer biology and molecular oncology. The VHL protein is known for targeting hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) for degradation, thereby controlling the expression of genes involved in angiogenesis and cell proliferation.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a component of a ubiquitination complex. The encoded protein is involved in the ubiquitination and degradation of hypoxia-inducible-factor (HIF), which is a transcription factor that plays a central role in the regulation of gene expression by oxygen. In addition to oxygen-related gene expression, this protein plays a role in many other cellular processes including cilia formation, cytokine signaling, regulation of senescence, and formation of the extracellular matrix. Variants of this gene are associated with von Hippel-Lindau syndrome, pheochromocytoma, erythrocytosis, renal cell carcinoma, and cerebellar hemangioblastoma.
