The Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) Antibody (CAB1019) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to adenosine deaminase, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology and cancer research.Adenosine deaminase is a key enzyme in the purine salvage pathway, essential for maintaining immune function by regulating levels of adenosine, a molecule involved in inflammation and immune response modulation.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Rat samples.

This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of adenosine to inosine in the purine catabolic pathway. Various mutations have been described for this gene and have been linked to human diseases related to impaired immune function such as severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID) which is the result of a deficiency in the ADA enzyme. In ADA-deficient individuals there is a marked depletion of T, B, and NK lymphocytes, and consequently, a lack of both humoral and cellular immunity. Conversely, elevated levels of this enzyme are associated with congenital hemolytic anemia.
