The alpha 1 Spectrin Monoclonal Antibody (CAB9597) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.Alpha-1 spectrin plays a critical role in maintaining cell shape, supporting cell function, and facilitating intracellular transport. Dysregulation of alpha-1 spectrin has been implicated in various diseases, including hereditary spherocytosis and certain types of cancer.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a member of a family of molecular scaffold proteins that link the plasma membrane to the actin cytoskeleton and functions in the determination of cell shape, arrangement of transmembrane proteins, and organization of organelles. The encoded protein is primarily composed of 22 spectrin repeats which are involved in dimer formation. It forms a component of the erythrocyte plasma membrane. Mutations in this gene result in a variety of hereditary red blood cell disorders, including elliptocytosis-2, pyropoikilocytosis, and spherocytosis, type 3.
