GABA A Receptor beta 1 (GABRB1) Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19681)
The GABA A Receptor beta 1 (GABRB1) Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19681) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, has been rigorously tested and validated for use in Western blot applications, specifically targeting the GABRB1 protein.GABA-A receptors are the major inhibitory neurotransmitter receptors in the central nervous system and play a crucial role in regulating neuronal excitability. Dysfunction of these receptors has been implicated in various neurological disorders such as epilepsy, anxiety, and insomnia. The GABRB1 subunit is an essential component of the GABA-A receptor complex, and understanding its expression and function is essential for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) A receptor is a multisubunit chloride channel that mediates the fastest inhibitory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. This gene encodes GABA A receptor, beta 1 subunit. It is mapped to chromosome 4p12 in a cluster comprised of genes encoding alpha 4, alpha 2 and gamma 1 subunits of the GABA A receptor. Alteration of this gene is implicated in the pathogenetics of schizophrenia.
