The Glyt2 Monoclonal Antibody (CAB20931) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is optimized for use in various applications such as Western blot and immunohistochemistry.GLYT2 is known to be essential for maintaining the balance of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system, making it a promising target for investigating neurological disorders and developing potential therapeutics. By targeting the GLYT2 protein, researchers can gain insights into its function and potential implications in conditions such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and neuropathic pain.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a sodium- and chloride-dependent glycine neurotransmitter transporter. This integral membrane glycoprotein is responsible for the clearance of extracellular glycine during glycine-mediated neurotransmission. This protein is found in glycinergic axons and maintains a high presynaptic pool of neurotransmitter at glycinergic synapses. Mutations in this gene cause hyperekplexia; a heterogenous neurological disorder characterized by exaggerated startle responses and neonatal apnea. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
