The ASCC1 Antibody (CAB15832) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it a reliable tool for Western blot applications. By binding to ASCC1, this antibody allows for the precise detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types.ASCC1, also known as Activating Signal Cointegrator 1 Complex Subunit 1, plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability and preserving the integrity of DNA. Its function in DNA repair processes makes it a key player in preventing mutations and genomic alterations that can lead to diseases like cancer.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a subunit of the activating signal cointegrator 1 (ASC-1) complex. The ASC-1 complex is a transcriptional coactivator that plays an important role in gene transactivation by multiple transcription factors including activating protein 1 (AP-1), nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-kB) and serum response factor (SRF). The encoded protein contains an N-terminal KH-type RNA-binding motif which is required for AP-1 transactivation by the ASC-1 complex. Mutations in this gene are associated with Barrett esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
