The ATG4B Antibody (CAB2837) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. Autophagy is a cellular mechanism that clears out damaged or unnecessary components, playing a crucial role in maintaining cellular health and preventing diseases like cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ATG4B protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of ATG4B in various cell types, providing valuable insights into the autophagy pathway.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

Autophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins and damaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly. Autophagy is postulated to be essential for cell homeostasis and cell remodeling during differentiation, metamorphosis, non-apoptotic cell death, and aging. Reduced levels of autophagy have been described in some malignant tumors, and a role for autophagy in controlling the unregulated cell growth linked to cancer has been proposed. This gene encodes a member of the autophagin protein family. The encoded protein is also designated as a member of the C-54 family of cysteine proteases. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
