The Calpain 1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21673) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to calpain-1, researchers can detect and analyze the protein in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology, neuroscience, and cancer research.Calpain-1 is known to play a crucial role in cellular physiology, including cytoskeletal remodeling, protein degradation, and cell proliferation.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

The calpains, calcium-activated neutral proteases, are nonlysosomal, intracellular cysteine proteases. The mammalian calpains include ubiquitous, stomach-specific, and muscle-specific proteins. The ubiquitous enzymes consist of heterodimers with distinct large, catalytic subunits associated with a common small, regulatory subunit. This gene encodes the large subunit of the ubiquitous enzyme, calpain 1. Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
