The CD82 Antibody (CAB1778) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting. It binds specifically to the CD82 antigen, allowing for detection and analysis in different cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology and cancer research. The CD82 antigen, also known as KAI1, plays a crucial role in cell migration, invasion, and metastasis, making it a potential target for cancer therapy and drug development.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This metastasis suppressor gene product is a membrane glycoprotein that is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily. Expression of this gene has been shown to be downregulated in tumor progression of human cancers and can be activated by p53 through a consensus binding sequence in the promoter. Its expression and that of p53 are strongly correlated, and the loss of expression of these two proteins is associated with poor survival for prostate cancer patients. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
