The CD26/DPP4 Antibody (CAB1455) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the DPP4 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its presence in various cell types.DPP4, also known as CD26, is involved in a range of biological functions, including T cell activation, glucose metabolism, and inflammatory responses. Its dysregulation has been implicated in conditions like diabetes, obesity, and cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The DPP4 gene encodes dipeptidyl peptidase 4, which is identical to adenosine deaminase complexing protein-2, and to the T-cell activation antigen CD26. It is an intrinsic type II transmembrane glycoprotein and a serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 is highly involved in glucose and insulin metabolism, as well as in immune regulation. This protein was shown to be a functional receptor for Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), and protein modeling suggests that it may play a similar role with SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19.
