The EGF Antibody (CAB13615) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the EGF protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of EGF expression in a variety of cell types.EGF is a crucial growth factor that plays a key role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of the EGF signaling pathway has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA, IF-P applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a member of the epidermal growth factor superfamily. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the 53-amino acid epidermal growth factor peptide. This protein acts a potent mitogenic factor that plays an important role in the growth, proliferation and differentiation of numerous cell types. This protein acts by binding with high affinity to the cell surface receptor, epidermal growth factor receptor. Defects in this gene are the cause of hypomagnesemia type 4. Dysregulation of this gene has been associated with the growth and progression of certain cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed.
