The [KO Validated] eIF4EBP1 Antibody (CAB1248) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced through rabbit immunization, exhibits high reactivity against human samples and is validated for Western blot applications.EIF4EBP1, also known as eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E-binding protein 1, plays a crucial role in the control of translation initiation by binding to eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E). Dysregulation of EIF4EBP1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes one member of a family of translation repressor proteins. The protein directly interacts with eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), which is a limiting component of the multisubunit complex that recruits 40S ribosomal subunits to the 5' end of mRNAs. Interaction of this protein with eIF4E inhibits complex assembly and represses translation. This protein is phosphorylated in response to various signals including UV irradiation and insulin signaling, resulting in its dissociation from eIF4E and activation of mRNA translation.
