This gene encodes a protein which belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. The protein contains two GATA-type zinc fingers and is an important regulator of T-cell development and plays an important role in endothelial cell biology. Defects in this gene are the cause of hypoparathyroidism with sensorineural deafness and renal dysplasia.

Western blot analysis of various lysates using GATA3 Rabbit mAb (CAB19636) at 1:1000 dilution. Secondary antibody: HRP-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (CABS014) at 1:10000 dilution. Lysates/proteins: 25μg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit (AbGn00020). Exposure time: 10s.
Immunoprecipitation analysis of 300 μg extracts of Jurkat cells using 3 μg GATA3 antibody (CAB19636). Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using GATA3 antibody (CAB19636) at a dilution of 1:500.
Chromatin immunoprecipitations were performed with cross-linked chromatin from 293T cells transfected with GATA3 and GATA3 (CAB19636). The ChIP sequencing results indicate the enrichment pattern of GATA3 in selected genomic region and representative gene loci (SH3RF3), as shown in figure.
