The GCLC Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4499) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. GCLC is a key enzyme involved in the synthesis of glutathione, an essential antioxidant that plays a critical role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and maintaining cellular health. This high-quality antibody, developed using rabbit monoclonal technology, offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity for detecting GCLC in a variety of samples, including human tissues and cell lines. It has been validated for use in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications, providing researchers with multiple options for analyzing GCLC expression and localization.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Rat samples.

Glutamate-cysteine ligase, also known as gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase is the first rate-limiting enzyme of glutathione synthesis. The enzyme consists of two subunits, a heavy catalytic subunit and a light regulatory subunit. This locus encodes the catalytic subunit, while the regulatory subunit is derived from a different gene located on chromosome 1p22-p21. Mutations at this locus have been associated with hemolytic anemia due to deficiency of gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase and susceptibility to myocardial infarction.
