The [KO Validated] Histone H2A.Z Antibody (CAB6614) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. Histone H2A.Z is a variant of the histone protein H2A that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and chromatin structure. This antibody, developed in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.Histone H2A.Z is involved in key cellular processes such as transcriptional regulation, DNA repair, and genome stability. Dysregulation of H2A.Z has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders. By targeting H2A.Z, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene encodes a replication-independent member of the histone H2A family that is distinct from other members of the family. Studies in mice have shown that this particular histone is required for embryonic development and indicate that lack of functional histone H2A leads to embryonic lethality.
