The IBSP Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16220) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity for detecting IBSP in human samples, making it an excellent choice for Western blot analysis.IBSP is known for its role in promoting the adhesion and differentiation of osteoblasts, cells responsible for building and maintaining bone tissue. By targeting IBSP, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying bone development and turnover, as well as potential therapeutic strategies for bone-related disorders like osteoporosis.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a major structural protein of the bone matrix. It constitutes approximately 12% of the noncollagenous proteins in human bone and is synthesized by skeletal-associated cell types, including hypertrophic chondrocytes, osteoblasts, osteocytes, and osteoclasts. The only extraskeletal site of its synthesis is the trophoblast. This protein binds to calcium and hydroxyapatite via its acidic amino acid clusters, and mediates cell attachment through an RGD sequence that recognizes the vitronectin receptor.
