The NPPA Antibody (CAB1609) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody is raised in rabbits and has high reactivity with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the NPPA protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of NPPA in various cell types, particularly in studies related to cardiovascular disease and hypertension.Atrial natriuretic peptide is a hormone produced by the heart in response to stretching of the cardiac atria, and plays a crucial role in regulating blood pressure and fluid balance.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA, IF-P applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the natriuretic peptide family. Natriuretic peptides are implicated in the control of extracellular fluid volume and electrolyte homeostasis. This protein is synthesized as a large precursor (containing a signal peptide), which is processed to release a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide, cardiodilatin, and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity. Mutations in this gene have been associated with atrial fibrillation familial type 6. This gene is located adjacent to another member of the natriuretic family of peptides on chromosome 1.
