The OTOP1 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC060152) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the OTOP1 protein, a member of the otopetrin family known for its role in calcium transport and homeostasis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.OTOP1 is primarily expressed in the inner ear and plays a crucial role in auditory function and balance. Additionally, OTOP1 has been implicated in cellular calcium signaling pathways and may have implications in various diseases related to calcium dysregulation.
By binding specifically to the OTOP1 protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze OTOP1 expression in different cell types, providing insights into its function and potential involvement in disease pathology. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in sensory biology, calcium signaling, and related research areas.
IHC image of PACO60152 diluted at 1:400 and staining in paraffin-embedded human colon cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with PACO60152 at 1:133, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).
