The Pannexin 1 Antibody (CAB6683) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to pannexin-1, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of this important protein in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable resource for studies in cell biology and neuroscience.Pannexin-1 is known to play a crucial role in mediating various cellular functions, including the release of ATP and other signaling molecules.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the innexin family. Innexin family members are the structural components of gap junctions. This protein and pannexin 2 are abundantly expressed in central nerve system (CNS) and are coexpressed in various neuronal populations. Studies in Xenopus oocytes suggest that this protein alone and in combination with pannexin 2 may form cell type-specific gap junctions with distinct properties.
