The Rad18 Antibody (CAB5380) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the RAD18 protein, this antibody allows for the accurate detection and analysis of RAD18 in various cell types, making it an excellent choice for those working in the fields of molecular biology and cancer research.RAD18 is known for its role in DNA repair mechanisms, specifically in the process of post-replication repair and DNA damage tolerance.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to S. cerevisiae DNA damage repair protein Rad18. Yeast Rad18 functions through its interaction with Rad6, which is an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replication repair of damaged DNA. Similar to its yeast counterpart, this protein is able to interact with the human homolog of yeast Rad6 protein through a conserved ring-finger motif. Mutation of this motif results in defective replication of UV-damaged DNA and hypersensitivity to multiple mutagens.
