ISG15 produces a ubiquitin-like protein which is conjugated to intracellular target proteins after interferon-alpha and interferon-beta activation. ISG15 has been linked to a variety of functions, including neutrophil chemotaxis, the direction of ligated target proteins to intermediate filaments, cell-to-cell signalling, and antiviral activity during viral infections. ISG15 is associated with diseases such as basal ganglia calcification and Weiss-Kruszka Syndrome.Two pathways ISG15 is involved in are the HIV cycle and interferon gamma signaling. Recombinant Human ISG15 is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Gly2-Gly157(Ser83Asn) is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
