Description
RGS11 Antibody (PACO16976)
The RGS11 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC016976) is a valuable tool for researchers studying RGS11, a member of the regulator of G-protein signaling (RGS) family known for its role in signal transduction and cellular communication. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications. By binding to the RGS11 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it particularly useful for investigations in molecular biology and neuroscience.
RGS11 acts as a key regulator of G-protein signaling pathways, influencing processes such as neurotransmission, cardiac function, and hormone release. Its involvement in these crucial cellular functions makes it a promising target for research on diseases like neurological disorders, cardiovascular conditions, and endocrine abnormalities. By gaining insight into the mechanisms of RGS11 activity, researchers can pave the way for innovative therapies aimed at addressing these challenging health issues.

Background: | The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the RGS (regulator of G protein signaling) family. Members of the RGS family act as GTPase-activating proteins on the α subunits of heterotrimeric, signal-transducing G proteins. This protein inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein α subunits, thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and four transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. |
