The SELE Antibody (CAB2191) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the E-Selectin protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of E-Selectin expression in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in immunology and vascular biology.E-Selectin plays a crucial role in the adhesion of leukocytes to the endothelium during inflammation, making it a key player in the immune response and the development of inflammatory diseases.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is found in cytokine-stimulated endothelial cells and is thought to be responsible for the accumulation of blood leukocytes at sites of inflammation by mediating the adhesion of cells to the vascular lining. It exhibits structural features such as the presence of lectin- and EGF-like domains followed by short consensus repeat (SCR) domains that contain 6 conserved cysteine residues. These proteins are part of the selectin family of cell adhesion molecules. Adhesion molecules participate in the interaction between leukocytes and the endothelium and appear to be involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.
