The TCAP Antibody (CAB6765) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the Telethonin protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it a versatile tool for studies in muscle biology and related fields.Telethonin, also known as T-cap or TCAP, is essential for the proper functioning of sarcomeres in muscle cells, contributing to muscle strength and integrity.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

Sarcomere assembly is regulated by the muscle protein titin. Titin is a giant elastic protein with kinase activity that extends half the length of a sarcomere. It serves as a scaffold to which myofibrils and other muscle related proteins are attached. This gene encodes a protein found in striated and cardiac muscle that binds to the titin Z1-Z2 domains and is a substrate of titin kinase, interactions thought to be critical to sarcomere assembly. Mutations in this gene are associated with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2G.
