The WFS1 Antibody (CAB1705) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly specific to human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.Wolframin is known to play a crucial role in regulating calcium homeostasis and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress responses, making it a key player in cellular function and survival. By targeting Wolframin with this polyclonal antibody, researchers can study its expression levels and localization in various cell types, providing insights into its function and involvement in disease pathogenesis.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a transmembrane protein, which is located primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum and ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in brain, pancreas, heart, and insulinoma beta-cell lines. Mutations in this gene are associated with Wolfram syndrome, also called DIDMOAD (Diabetes Insipidus, Diabetes Mellitus, Optic Atrophy, and Deafness), an autosomal recessive disorder. The disease affects the brain and central nervous system. Mutations in this gene can also cause autosomal dominant deafness 6 (DFNA6), also known as DFNA14 or DFNA38. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
