The Ceruloplasmin Monoclonal Antibody (CAB20229) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high affinity and specificity for ceruloplasmin in human samples, enabling precise detection and analysis in various experimental settings.Ceruloplasmin, a multi-functional protein primarily produced in the liver, plays a crucial role in maintaining copper homeostasis and facilitating iron oxidation. Dysregulation of ceruloplasmin is implicated in various diseases, including Wilson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, highlighting its significance in physiological processes and pathogenesis.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, ELISA, IF-P applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a metalloprotein that binds most of the copper in plasma and is involved in the peroxidation of Fe(II)transferrin to Fe(III) transferrin. Mutations in this gene cause aceruloplasminemia, which results in iron accumulation and tissue damage, and is associated with diabetes and neurologic abnormalities. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and the other not protein-coding, have been found for this gene.
