The GALT Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21426) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is specifically designed to target GALT protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, this antibody is highly reactive with human samples, making it an ideal choice for immunology and cancer research studies.GALT is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the galactose metabolism pathway, maintaining proper function in cells and tissues.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

Galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase (GALT) catalyzes the second step of the Leloir pathway of galactose metabolism, namely the conversion of UDP-glucose + galactose-1-phosphate to glucose-1-phosphate + UDP-galactose. The absence of this enzyme results in classic galactosemia in humans and can be fatal in the newborn period if lactose is not removed from the diet. The pathophysiology of galactosemia has not been clearly defined. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
