The Reptin/RUVBL2 Antibody (CAB12564) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications.RUVBL2, also known as pontin or reptin, is a member of the AAA+ ATPase family and is known to interact with a wide range of proteins involved in transcriptional regulation, DNA repair, and chromatin remodeling. Its diverse functions make it a key player in cellular homeostasis and its dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes the second human homologue of the bacterial RuvB gene. Bacterial RuvB protein is a DNA helicase essential for homologous recombination and DNA double-strand break repair. Functional analysis showed that this gene product has both ATPase and DNA helicase activities. This gene is physically linked to the CGB/LHB gene cluster on chromosome 19q13.3, and is very close (55 nt) to the LHB gene, in the opposite orientation.
