The Phospho-Beclin 1-Ser90 Antibody (CABP1254) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This polyclonal antibody, raised against phosphorylated Ser90 of Beclin-1, is highly specific and sensitive, making it an ideal choice for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.Beclin-1 is known to be phosphorylated at Ser90 in response to various cellular stressors, such as nutrient deprivation and oxidative stress, leading to its activation and initiation of autophagy. The phosphorylation status of Beclin-1 at Ser90 is crucial for regulating autophagic activity and maintaining cellular homeostasis.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a protein that regulates autophagy, a catabolic process of degradation induced by starvation. The encoded protein is a component of the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K) complex which mediates vesicle-trafficking processes. This protein is thought to play a role in multiple cellular processes, including tumorigenesis, neurodegeneration and apoptosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
