The Cytokeratin 20 (KRT20) Antibody (CAB0248) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. Keratin 20 is a type I keratin protein that is expressed in epithelial cells, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. This polyclonal antibody is produced in rabbits and is highly reactive with human samples. It has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. By binding specifically to the KRT20 protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze the expression of KRT20 in different cell types and tissues. The KRT20 Polyclonal Antibody is particularly useful for studies in cancer research, as aberrant expression of keratins has been observed in various types of cancers.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. This cytokeratin is a major cellular protein of mature enterocytes and goblet cells and is specifically expressed in the gastric and intestinal mucosa. The type I cytokeratin genes are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21.
