The SELENBP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21804) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to Selenbp1, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in biochemistry and molecular biology.Selenbp1 is known to play a critical role in maintaining cellular redox balance and protecting against oxidative stress. Its involvement in selenium homeostasis highlights its importance in regulating essential cellular processes and potentially impacting disease progression.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

This gene encodes a member of the selenium-binding protein family. Selenium is an essential nutrient that exhibits potent anticarcinogenic properties, and deficiency of selenium may cause certain neurologic diseases. The effects of selenium in preventing cancer and neurologic diseases may be mediated by selenium-binding proteins, and decreased expression of this gene may be associated with several types of cancer. The encoded protein may play a selenium-dependent role in ubiquitination/deubiquitination-mediated protein degradation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
