The opportunity

This is a hunting role for someone who enjoys opening doors. You will grow Assay Genie’s presence across the UK by winning new customers, deepening relationships with existing labs, and championing our specialist product lines and innovative portfolio. You will have a warm base of customers to build on and a marketing team generating leads for you — and the freedom to run your territory like it is your own business.

What you will do

• Win new business across academia, biotech and pharma: identify opportunities and bring new customers on board.
• Grow and develop accounts: build lasting relationships with researchers and labs, and expand what they buy across the full portfolio.
• Champion our specialist lines: take ownership of our full portfolio.
• Own your deals end to end, from first conversation through quote, proposal and negotiation to close.
• Manage your pipeline: keep an accurate CRM, prioritise well, and follow up leads from our SDR and marketing team quickly.
• Be our face in the field: visit labs, attend conferences and exhibitions, and feed market insight back to the team.

What you will bring

• 2+ years’ sales experience in life-science reagents, antibodies, ELISA/assay kits or lab consumables, with a hunger for winning new business.
• A science background, or genuine confidence talking with lab researchers about their work.
• A self-starter who thrives working independently and owning a territory.
• Comfort taking consultative deals through to close.
• A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK; ideally based within reach of the London, Oxford and Cambridge corridor.

• Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 base depending on experience, plus an excellent commission structure.
